IG Band

IVORY GATES (IG) mix high doses of 70’s influences with 80’s progressive rock and good old heavy metal into their very own unique blend. Their compositions are direct and aggressive, but with highly sophisticated arrangements. Since their formation in Piracicaba/SP, Brazil in the year 2000, they have towered an impressive discography of five albums, all extremely well received by national and international press.

In their new masterpiece album “Behind the Wall” IG went to extremes and used evolution, fear of the unknown and comfort zone accommodation as concepts for the musical creation. IG sought to add elements they never used before. We hear a 6/8 ballad (Leaves of Winter), the weight of thrash metal in “Fall of Jericho”, or even a passionate flirt with Brazilian and Latin rhythms in the instrumental “Duality”. Behind the Wall shows an increasingly heavy and renewed Ivory Gates: Not afraid to cross the wall.

Ivory Gates are made of full-blooded musicians. Felipe Travaglini on vocals, Matheus Armelin on guitar, Hugo Mazzotti on bass and Thiago Siqueira on drums will soon be presenting their qualities on stage again.
